Robert Polhamus Obituary
Robert L. Polhamus 87, of Windsor, passed on December 5, 2017 surrounded by loved ones. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry & Lillian Polhamus, son, David, grandson, Robert III, granddaughter, Kimberly, sisters, Geraldine Corey, Beatrice Backus, Betty Kosick, Beverly Nowakowski, Joann Horton, brothers, John and William. Robert is survived by his wife of 68 years Helene L. sons, Dan & Karen, Robert Jr. & Shawn, Ronald & Kelly, Steven & Robin, Stanley & Lori, brothers, Watrous & Donna, James & Kathy, Richard & Becky and Donnie & Sue, also 21 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was a US Army Veteran working as a diesel mechanic the entered the NYS National Guard. He was an avid bowler and golfer and was extremely proud of his family. Robert loved to throw a family reunion party on Labor Day until he was not able to. A Funeral Service will be held at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson, NY 13901 at 11 AM. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00-7:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Those wishing kindly consider memorial contributions in Roberts name to Binghamton General Hospital Memorial Fund 10-42 Mitchell Ave. Binghamton, NY 1390

Bob, my dear friend. I have been cutting yours and Helen's hair for so many years, I can't count. Im so heartbroken for your family right now. I will keep my dream catcher with me always. I hope you have met up with Beth up in the sky, I'm sure she's been watching. I will miss you both terribly. Please hug her for me. I will hug Helen for you both. Love you always.

I remember Bob teaching all of us neighborhood kids how to play softball in the clearing across the road from his house. Those were good times!
