Robert Whiting Obituary
Robert Whiting Sr., 64, passed away unexpectedly on, Friday, June 21, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents, Volney and Adelina (Rea) Whiting; brother Paul Whiting Sr. and sister Tamara Haughton. He is survived by children and their spouses, Robert A. and Marley Whiting Jr., David and Lisa Whiting, Shane Whiting, Sharon Whiting Miller; three brothers and their spouses, Alan and Casey Whiting, Michael and Linda Whiting, Philip Whiting; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marcia Brown, Julie and Jake Cvercko; sister-in-law, Debbie Whiting; six grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert served in the United States Navy and held past membership at the American Legion Post 1645 and was former 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. Funeral Services with military honors will be held Friday, June 28, 2013 at 5pm at the Savage Funeral Home, 338 Conklin Ave., Binghamton, NY 13903. The family will welcome friends from 3pm until the time of the service. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org. Expressions of sympathy may be expressed online at www.savagefs.com.
