WILLIAM A. BILL WEILER
of Peabody, Mass.
William A. Bill Weiler, of Peabody, Mass., died, June 3, 2001, a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Lavriha) Weiler, with whom he shared over 24 years of marriage. He was born June 8, 1954 in Binghamton, the son of Patricia (Loughrain) Weiler, Binghamton and the late William A. Weiler, Sr. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cornell University in 1976 and received his Master of Science from Cornell in 1978. He worked for Haley & Aldrich Inc., in Boston as a civil engineer. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching the San Francisco Giants, his favorite baseball team. He was a member of several professional organizations, including The American Society of Civil Engineers, International Society of Soil Mechanics & Foundations Engineers, and was an Earthquake Expert Engineer. In addition to his loving wife and mother, he is survived by his daughter, Caitlin Weiler, Peabody; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Janet and Mark Ligas, Cortland, N.Y., Karen and Tom Caminiti, Homer, N.Y., Susan and Frank Crisanti, Binghamton, Ellen and Mitchell Schare, Commack, N.Y., and Barbara Weiler, Johnson City; his mother-in-law, Kay Lavriha; three sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kathryn and David Douglas, Potomac, Md., Nancy and Gerald Smith, Moodus, Conn., and Diane and Jim Hunt, Westerly, R.I.; and 19 nieces and nephews. His funeral was held Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at St. John's Church in Peabody.
