Robert Wilson Obituary

ROBERT WILSON Riverside resident Robert Wilson passed away on November 11, 2012 after a long battle with brain cancer. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 4, 1965 to Robert and Janette Wilson, Bob lived his childhood in Fountain Valley, California. He graduated from La Quinta High School in 1983 and received a degree in Social Ecology from UC Irvine in 1987, and later, a master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College. He met his wife, Jeri, while a student at UC Irvine. He began his career in college administration at UC Irvine and his first son, Tanner, was born in Irvine in 1993. Bob was later hired at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where his second son, Ethan, was born. The family moved back to California in 2002 and Bob worked for the California School for the Deaf and Cal State San Bernardino. Bob was a devoted father who supported his son Tanner as a board member for the King High School Chamber Singers and his son Ethan as a board member with the Riverside Tennis Association. Bob was a brilliant man, loving husband, devoted father, who always saw the humor in life. Bob is survived by his wife, Jeri Wilson; his sons Tanner and Ethan Wilson; and his goddaughter Paloma Clark. A celebration of Bob's life is planned for December. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
