Joan Nobrega

NOBREGA, JOAN O. (SAVARD) 78, of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Antone Nobrega, and the late Robert Doyle. Born in North Adams, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Olivene Mary (Fields) Savard. Joan worked as a cashier for the former Almacs Supermarket, for many years, retiring in December of 1995. She enjoyed decorating her home for holidays, solving word search and crossword puzzles. She loved coffee, and was an avid couponer. She leaves her five children, Mark Doyle, of Harmony, Lynn Parker, of Casselberry, FL, Joan Duquette, of Knoxville, TN, Kathy Doyle, and Brenda Doyle-Lisi, both of West Warwick; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Carl E. Savard and Jeanette Stett. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 10:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) Warwick. Visiting hours will be from 8:00 10:00 am, prior to the service. Burial will be private.
