Pam Lanham

YORKVILLE, Ill. - Pam Lanham died at home on Friday, February 10, after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by loved ones.

Pam was to born to Alice and Charles Lanham on July 3, 1956, in Melrose Park, IL. As a child she spent a couple of years living with her family on her grandparents' farm In Northwest Iowa. After leaving the farm, Pam lived on the East Coast, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin before moving to Lisle, Illinois, in 1973. Pam graduated from Lisle High School In 1974, and went on to complete her Cosmetology degree a few years later.

Pam moved to Yorkville, Illinois, in 1988 where she spent the remainder of her life. Pam was an avid gardener, and if you drove past her house on Route 71 you would be able to marvel at the beautiful flowers that surrounded the old farmhouse where she lived.

Pam had a special place in her heart for the Black Hills of South Dakota, where her sister, brother-in-law and parents live. She visited the area often, bringing her motorcycle along so she could enjoy the beautiful scenery and peaceful roads in the Black Hills. She made her last trip to the hills in October, fulfilling a dream to attend the annual Buffalo Roundup in Custer State Park.

Pam was preceded in death by her grandparents, Myrtle and Max Lanham of Paulina, Iowa, and Clarence and Elsie Phillips of Sutherland, Iowa.
