Barbara and family,

So sad to learn of Joe's passing. He was on my heart on Monday as I returned to work after 3 weeks. I did not learn of his passing until today. It was an honor to care for him and to witness your precious love and devotion as you, Barbara, so lovingly cared for him-thank you for sharing him with all of us at the VA. I will always remember his great smile, knowing eyes, and your beautiful love for each other. Neither will I forget especially, how sensitive you, Barbara was to Joe's need to be busy "at work" with pencil and paper. May Jesus bless you with His peace.

With love, Patricia Carter, RN
