My condolences to the Corte family. I had the privilege of working at City Hall for many years with Lou, he was such a nice person. My dad Tom and Lou played cards together at the Club as well. He will be missed!

I grew with Lou in the Yale Street section of Meriden. I was instrumental with helping Lou to get to work for Otto Schumman as a Master Carpenter back in 1955, before he went on to serve the City Of Meriden for so many years!
Lou was a witty, great person, always with a good story to tell. My deepest sympathy goes out to Lou´s Wife, Sons and Family! May his Soul rest in God´s eternal peace!
Sincerely,
John A. Young

Marie, Lou & Tom,
I'm devastated by the loss of Lou as I know you are also. I'm focusing on all the good times that Lou and I shared while working for Meriden - how he would tell jokes, handle the good & bad customers (he was such a people person), bring ice cream, talk Italian, call Ione and me "his girls", remind me that he met me before my husband did, annual office Christmas parties, and so much more. I enjoyed working with and for him during those 21 years and socializing after he retired. Sending my love and hugs to you all!
