Peter James Gobel was born on June 21, 1946 in Porterville, CA. He passed away from cancer at his home surrounded by his loved ones and went to his eternal home on January 12, 2023 at the age of 76.
Throughout grade school & high school Peter won hundreds of ribbons & awards for his Gardening, Engineering, Welding & Fabrication. Peter graduated from Porterville High School in 1964. He then entered the National Guard Reserves for 6 years and was stationed at Fort Ord. He married Ann Hicks in 1966 and they had three children Rusty, Davy and Candice, He was employed as a partner of Gobel Brothers Farms west of Porterville.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Pete Gobel. He is survived by his two sons, Rusty Gobel of Porterville with grandchildren Derek, Summer, Hannah, 2 great grandchildren. Davy Gobel of Porterville with grandchildren Darren, Kaitlyn, Hailey. A daughter. Candice Gobel of Porterville with grandchildren Cade, Brice, Cassidy. His brother Phillip Gobel of Porterville. His three sisters, Jeanette Carman of Palm Springs with nieces Jessica, Julianna. Sandra Chisholm of Oregon with nieces Michelle, Stephanie. Barbara Gobel of Bakersfield
