George A. Terwilliger Jr.

1927 - 2012

PLEASANT VALLEY - George A. Terwilliger, Jr., 84, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Kathleen Eleanor (Yankowsky) Terwilliger, who died in 1991. Born in Winsted, April 16, 1927, he was the son of the late George and Esther (Madrah) Terwilliger and had lived in the area all of his life.
He had attended local schools and was a Navy veteran of WW II. Prior to his retirement, he had worked for SCASCO and Winsted Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Barkhamsted Senior Citizens and was a communicant of St. Joseph Church.
His survivors include a niece, Cynthia Kent of Winsted and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Bill Terwilliger.
Graveside services will be held at a time and date to be announced. There are no calling hours. Maloney Funeral Home 55 Walnut Street, Winsted is in charge of arrangements.
