Ann Shively Obituary

Ann Pierson Shively, 60, of Kingsport, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a member of Daniel Boone Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, Maude and Kelly Pierson. Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Larry Shively, Kingsport; one daughter, Susan Kelly Shively, Kingsport; one son, Larry Shively Jr. and wife, Misty, Johnson City, Tenn.; one granddaughter, Sara Elizabeth Shively; a special niece, Angela Light, Kingsport; six sisters, Naomi McConnell and husband, Ezra, Bristol, Tenn., Gladys Berry and husband, James, Gate City, Va., Louise Garland, Fall Branch, Ruby Mays, Kingsport, Nancy Odiorne and husband, Dean, Kingsport, Marion Carney and husband, Robert, Kingsport; and one brother, Bill Pierson and wife, Linda, Gate City, Va. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Kelly Pierson and the Rev. Scott Layer officiating. A family graveside service will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m. at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
