Randall Painter Obituary

PAINTER, Randall Thomas, 38, of Hiram Davis Medical Center, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Southside Regional Hospital in Petersburg, Va. Born in Wilmington, N.C., he was the son of Benjamin Thomas Painter and Alma Jean McCraw Painter of Gaffney, S.C., and formerly of Chester, Va. Mr. Painter was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, also surviving is a brother, Brian Mark Painter and wife, Heather, of Lynchburg, Va.; a sister, Amy Elizabeth Painter and husband, Jeff Stoff, of Okinawa, Japan; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Painter was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Coyle and Nettie McCraw and paternal grandparents, Thomas and Sarah Painter. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Blakely Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held in Oakland Cemetery, Gaffney, S.C. at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2008, conducted by Dr. Clyde Thomas. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family will be at his parent's residence, 203 Green Park Drive, Gaffney, S.C. An online guest register is available at www.blakelyfuneralhome.com.
