Margie Weaver Obituary

MARGIE A. WEAVER, 70 ROCKFORD - Margie A. Weaver, 70, of Rockford passed away Friday, May 9, 2014. Born December 16, 1943, in Tampa, FL, she was the daughter of Robert and Rebecca (Culver) Tinder. On May 1, 1965, she married David R. Weaver. A graduate of Beloit Memorial High School, Margie retired from the Rockford Public Schools. She enjoyed crafts, reading, swimming, water skiing, and most of all spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Sabrina (Greg) Knapp and Steve (Darlene Nadler) Weaver; grandchildren, Vivian and Ian Knapp, Jessie and Keri Weaver, Heather, Nicholas, and Jacob Nadler; brothers, Wayne and Thomas Tinder; and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and husband. Funeral service 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 12, at the funeral home. Entombment in the Chapel of Love at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be submitted at sunsetfhmemgardens.com.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Margie was a classmate of mine. I haven't seen her in years but have fond memories of the times we spent together in Junior High School.

Steve and Sabrina,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I adored your parents and I am so sad about this. I have so many memories of time spent with Margie. Always smiling. Always laughing. Always joking. They opened their home to me and let me live with them one year when I was on winter break from college. Margie was one of the best. RIP my friend.
