Cecile Marie Planchard

1929 - 2018

Cecile Marie Planchard (Morrill), 89 years old, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2018 at American River Center in Carmichael, California. She was born January 30, 1929 in Oakland, California to John and Patricia Morrill. Cecile graduated from Oakland High School. She is survived by her children Deborah Scott, Paul Planchard, Ruth Wieser, grandkids Sarah, Theodore and David, Connor and Caitlin, Chelsea, Joseph, Stephanie, Rachel, Kyle, and Libby, Cameron and great-grand- kids Thorsten, Xena, Isabelle, Norah, Julian, Andrew and many nieces and nephews. Cecile and her husband Paul were married in Alaska and briefly lived there before eventually settling down in Sacramento in 1963. Cecile loved spending time with children and grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to visit her daughter on the East Coast, especially to New York City. Cecile never tired of dining out with the family; favorite treats were strawberry waffles, Hershey's chocolate bars, cherry pie and a nice glass of Chardonnay. On Wednesday, March 28, 2018, there will be a viewing from 9:30 am to 10:30 am and graveside memorial services will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Sacramento Memorial Lawn, 6100 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, California (916-421-1171).
