James Cordano Obituary


CORDANO SR., JAMES J.
Born on October 3, 1904 in Sacramento, California, died on February 24, 2003, at his home in Carmel, California at the age of 98. He died of natural causes. He is survived by his wife June Cordano, his brother Father Virgil Cordano OFM from Old Mission Santa Barbara, daughter Patti Garnero and Mary K. King of Carmel, California, and son James J. Cordano, Jr., of Sacramento, California and nephew Alan Cordano. He is survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Sutter Club, Del Paso Country Club and numerous local organizations. A Vigil service will be held Thursday, February 27, 2003, at 5:30pm, at W.F. Gormley & Sons Chapel , 2015 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento, California. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, February 28, 2003, at 11:00am, at St. Francis Church, 2529 K Street, in Sacramento. Remembrances may be made to Virgil Cordano Endorsements of Catholic Studies, University of Santa Barbara, c/o Old Mission Santa Barbara: 2201 Laguna Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93105 or the charity of your choice.
