To family: As a former student, I can only imagine how incredible it is to be a family member spending one's life with "Granny" Davidson. She was a wonderful teacher and spirit at El Camino, and amazingly still vivid in my memories of classroom life there. The loss is great, but I hope your memories and experiences with her provide comfort at this difficult time. Peace, Judith Strand

Mrs. Davidson - She was truly a memorable teacher. She taught both my husband and me in the 1960s and we both went on to become college professors. We loved her book (and still have it). Obviously to be remembered as a great teacher 40 years after the fact, attests to the impact she had on our lives. Truly great teachers are rare - and she was one of them!

Thank you for being a wonderful teacher. Having been in your class back in 1975 is still a vivid and current memory. It has also been a story told to my chilren over and over again of how you taught so many so much. Thank you for those wonderful memories. God Bless.

I took Creative Writing from Granny Davidson at El Camino in 1972 and she was one of my favorite and most inspiring teachers. I'd heard about her from my siblings, who had taken classes with her in previous years. She was a true character, and embodied all the best traits of an excellent teacher. She has been, and will continue to be, fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. The Winston family extend their deepest sympathy to her family. May she rest in peace.

To Mrs. "D". Thank you for teaching me how to write coherently. I'll never forget the "panic" papers, the celebrations of Beethoven's birthday (thank you Peanuts) and the Macbeth witches. You live on in the hearts for your students. Paul, El Camino High, class of 1960.
