Guinevere Germain Obituary
She was born Sept. 16, 1922, in Ischua, a daughter of the late Charles and Phoebe Clayson Wetherby. On Dec. 6, 1941, she married William Germain, who predeceased her Sept. 5, 1992.
Mrs. Germain was employed for more than 30 years at the Soil & Water Conservation District until her retirement in 2008.
She is survived by two sons, William (Joyce) Germain of California and Robert (Valerie) Germain of Great Valley; a daughter, Barbara (Richard) Beverly of Florida; six grandchildren, Gail, William, Roxanne, Robert, Ryan and Raurk; 13 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Raymond (Delores) Wetherby of Belmont, Kendall (Helen) Wetherby of Obi and Dean Wetherby of Knapp Creek; a sister, Geraldine Baham of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her loving husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Fannie Morgan.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St., Little Valley. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (June 2, 2016) in the funeral home, with the Rev. John Woodring officiating. Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley.
Memorials may be made to the United Church of Ellicottville.

My saddened heart for not having Auntie to chat with on phone or Facebook anymore, will now become precious thoughts of wonderful times share of the past and her last times year plus spent in the nursing home.
How blessed I've been to have her enrich and inspire me through her sharp wit and humor.
May the family know the impact of those whom she reached with positive God driven love.
