1922 ~ 2013
Carl Lazelle Fish passed away early Friday morning, April 12, 2013, in Salt Lake City, Utah, just 8 days after the passing of his beloved wife Reva.
Carl was born on April 4, 1922 to Karl J. & Mary M. Fish in Lakeside, Arizona where he spent the majority of his childhood.
Carl married Leah Irene Teel on November 24, 1942. They had 2 children, Stephen & Sharon, and later divorced. He then married Reva Talbot on July 1, 1960 in Salt Lake City and their marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa Temple in Mesa, Arizona.
Carl played semi-pro baseball in his younger days. He served with the U.S. Army from July 1940 to February 1942. He held several church callings, and along with his wife Reva, served a mission in the Philippines in 1981. He worked at the Mesa Temple for 20 years. Carl loved to dance and loved spending time with family and friends.
Carl is survived by his children Stephen L. Fish (son), Sharon Fazio (daughter), Alton R. (Helene) Talbot (son), Donna Johanos (daughter), 8 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents, wife Reva, sisters; Inez, Melvina, and Nita.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday April 18, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at the River Oaks 5th Ward located at 8950 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
Interment will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fairview Care Center for their loving care.
