Christopher Clark Obituary

1968 ~ 2016
Born Dec 22,1968, in Heber City, Utah, to Roger and Jean Christensen Clark, Chris graduated from Wasatch HS and went on to earn many certificates. After a stint in the Navy Reserves and 9/11, he re-enlisted with the Marines and served honorably during the Iraq war, receiving a medical discharge for a shoulder injury. He died Oct 9, 2016, in Salt Lake City, Utah, after three years of pain associated with a recent diagnosis of liver cancer, holding the hands of his daughter Reahliey and wife Nicole.
For 47 years, he has touched many people's lives with his sense of humor, quick smile, and loving tender heart. His daughters remember the ice cream dates and his deep love for them. He loved his scouts and scouting program and was a member of the Order of the Arrow.
In Jan of 2012, he went in for a haircut - and ended up with dinner, dating, and marriage to the cute hair stylist, the love of his life, Betty Nicole Horrocks, on July 13, 2012 (Friday the 13th, which for them was good luck) in the Draper Temple.
He is survived by wife Nicole; daughter Maddie; daughter Reahliey Rose-Clark (Matt Kennedy, grandsons Jayce, Kanyen and new one arriving in April); brother Terry Clark (Nina); sister Dawn James (Brandon, nephew Justin); Andrew Horrocks (Megan, niece Lillya); Cami Jones (Daniel); Brett Horrocks (Kylene, nephew Nixon); Brian and Linda Horrocks; Becky Clark; and preceded in death by his parents and sister Tara.
Chris was a jack of all trades, working a variety of jobs. Artistic, he did beautiful beadwork and leatherwork. When in pain, he would work through the night, and Nicole would wake up to a present.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at LDS Hospital and Intermountain Home Care Hospice.
We will miss him and his unconditional love.
Visitation 10-10:45 a.m. Sat, Oct 15th, Midvalley 5th Ward, 1211 E 7800 So, Midvale, UT 84047 with service at 11:00 a.m. There will be neither casket nor graveside service as he requested cremation.

Doc (as Chris was known) was a very special friend to me. I worked along side of him with a casino party group. He was intelligent, funny, sweet and a gentleman. I will always treasure the time we shared.

I had no Ideal Chris had passed on.
It is a great shock to learn that someone you loved has died by looking for them on Face Book to say HI.
He was a loving man and I knew him for a few years, and then we just drifted apart. He lived with me when he needed a place to stay until he got onto his feet and I helped him as much as I could even after he moved out into his own place. He was funny, and very loving and I saw him at his best and at his worst. I wish I would have known he was terminally ill. But God had his reasons, even though I am shocked, I know now he is at peace and with his father who he loved so very much. Rest In Peace my Dear Friend. My Condolences to all of his family and friends.
