I am Rod Gillund, Crosby, ND, who is related on both sides of Myrna's family....her grandfather and mine were cousins, and her grandmother and mine were sisters.

Her sister, D. Morrill, just advised me of her death. I am most grateful that she did.

Our sympathy to all of you.

It was only last night that I learned of the death of my sweet friend Myrna. I really enjoyed getting to know her while we worked together in the Salt Lake Temple. The last time I saw Myrna, was in the Temple when she felt strong enough to attend, and I got the biggest hug from her warm arms. I have missed her and will continue to miss her until we meet again in Heaven. My heart goes out to her family at this time.
With love and respect,

There are far too few people in this world with Myrna’s quiet strength. I will always think of her as an example of the axiom, “Still waters run deep”. Every time I spoke with her at work I would walk away feeling “at peace”. Adversity in her life seemed to just further refine her ability to calm those around her. Although she will be missed, our memory of her still has the same effect, and always will.

Like many, we are going to miss our beautiful, beautiful Myrna. I am so fortunate to call her my friend and a co-worker.I could always ask Myrna for a rush, rush request and she was always, always willing to accommodate. We will miss her smiling face and her generousity to help out everytime I need her help.

I was so lucky to have had the wonderful opportunity to work with Myrna at WCF for many many years. She was such a wonderful person and was always there for me. I know that she was admired by all and not just me. I learned so much from her in my time there and about her dedication to others. She was always willing to help me learn more and grow as an employee and person. I am pretty sure that I even learned my paper stacking skills from her as well... she taught me to find anything on my desk. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family and friends. She will be missed.

Myrna's courage, tenacity and positive attitude are an inspiration. I remember meeting her 19 years ago when I started at WCF. She was smiling then and was smiling the last time I saw her, just a few days ago. I am grateful to have known her and will miss her. WCF will not be the same without her.

"People are like stained glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within." Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
This passage truly exemplifies Myrna. The longer I knew her the better she got. As her illness progressed her light shown brighter. As a cancer survivor myself, Myrna and I often shared the knowledge of what kind of strength, perserverance and courage it takes to keep moving forward in spite of it. That Myrna did. Myrna was a tough, gritty lady with the soul of an angel. I will miss Myrna very much. My condolences to the family.

Sister Myrna Ash is a kind dear soul. She was devoted to the Savior and his Church. She showed remarkable courage in her fight against cancer. She wanted so much to live so she could serve and give more of herself to others. She was always pleasant and ready with a word of good cheer. She had a wonderful smile and a warm demeanor. We extend Our sympathy, prayers and love to her family and friends. She will be missed very much, yet she takes with her a glorious, faithful spirit, a richness of experience, an abiding testimony of Christ and a lifetime of service. She is a very blessed person because of what she did and Who she was and is. D & C 59:23

I only talked to my cousin Myrna a couple times on the phone but heard about her wonderful, unselfish deeds through the family grapevine. I am sad that I did not know her as I well as I could have and taken the time to get to know her better. She will be greatly missed!

Fred and family,

Myrna is one one of a kind, a true trooper and role model for the rest of us. For the few years I worked with her in Finance, I was always truely amazed how she could find the one piece of paperwork I needed on her desk :) (she was that good! She is and will be sorely missed!

I met Mynra originally by telephone while working at WCF in the Ogden office. I finally got to meet her in person after moving to the Murray office and what a delight. She always had a smile for everyone and was more than willing to help you. She is loved by all who meet her and will be missed dearly. Thanks for sharing her with me.
