Richard LeGrande Young

Richard LeGrande Young 1931 ~ 2006 Richard LeGrande Young died early Sunday morning after a brief illness. He was born October 1, 1931 to Richard Jack Young and Helen Mary Brunner. Following his graduation at West High School, Dick did a tour with the United States Navy. He served on the "USS Bushnell". He was very proud of his ship and the men he served with. Dick attended the University of Utah and Steven's Henager College, and obtained a degree in Computer Programming. He worked for the Utah State Board of Education for a number of years, and also worked for the American Express Company where he retired in 1993. Dick married Bernice Marie Pouillon in February 1958, they were later divorced. He later married Anna Jolene Frandsen in November 1977, they later divorced. Dick is survived by his sister Diane Burnett (Roy, Utah); two sons Kirkland and Patrick (Salt Lake City); three grandchildren Ashley, Erin and Amber Young; many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Bazil; and one son Russell Todd. Dick will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple.
