Ella Quevillion Obituary

QUEVILLION
Ella Quevillion peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the age of 87. She was born Elia Marie Ramirez on October 13, 1922 to Lydia and Turbusio Ramirez. She graduated from Somerset High School and with her family moved to San Antonio where she worked at Kelly Field Air Force Base. While there, she met and later married Robert "Frenchie" Quevillion. She left the work force to raise her two young daughters and her love for children drew her to re-enter the workforce ~ for several years she worked at Northside ISD. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, her sister Eva Martinez, and brothers Frank and Oscar Ramirez. She is survived by her sister, Emma McLuckie; daughters and son-in-laws: Madelyn and Jack Autry, Robbie and George Jones; grandchildren and spouses: R.J. and Teesha Autry, Scott and Lisa Autry, Chrysalis Autry, and Aidan Jones; great grandchildren: Toryn, Ryken, Noah, and Cody Autry, as well as a large extended family and many lifelong friends. Our family wishes to extend their gratitude and appreciation to her caregiver, Sheri Balzrette, her "Earth Angels" on the 10th Floor of the Methodist Hospital, and Dr. Robert Goff, who all provided loving care. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 13th at Porter Loring on McCullough Ave. from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

Ella and my mother, Dorothy, were very good friends growing up in the Somerset area. I wanted you to know how fondly my mother remembered Ella, they were good friends. I talked to Burkett, another classmate and friend, last night trying to get the correct spelling for Ella's last name so I could read the obit...Dorothy passed last April and is resting next to Dad at Mission North. I like to imagine Ella and others greeting mom at the gates of Heaven. I had the opportunity to visit with Ella many times at our home and hers, she was a delightful lady! Just wanted to pass on condolences, however late I am! May God Bless your family!

I worked with Ella at Northside for many years. She was a great lady and always had a smile on her face.

Aunt Chickie,

Im happy your back with your love. You were always fun to see and visit; I look forward to your voice, laugh and smile. I dont know if you'll ever know the influence Uncle Bob in particular had on me as a child, but you were sure to remind me how much he loved me. I'll never forget that. Goodbye and godbless your kids and grandchildren that you were always so very proud of.
