June Levine Obituary
June Ann (Davies) Levine
June was born June 24 1940 during an air raid in London England. June had health problems at an early age and throughout her life. At age 11, a section of a lung was removed because of undiagnosed asthma. She and Bob Levine were married on August 25, 1962 in Pompano Beach, FL. Her honeymoon was a long three day drive to Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, TX. Both children, Paul and Kim, were born there in 1964 and 1966 respectively. They moved to San Antonio, TX in 1975. June had a wonderful life despite the continuing pain she endured, but she never complained. She was a beautiful, kind person caring and giving to all she met. An infection in her right hip required a hip replacement and during this surgery, she suffered a heart attack and stroke paralyzing her left side. 10 days later, while in ICU, she had a hemorrhagic stroke which put her in a coma for about three weeks. She spent three months in hospitals and on September 19, 2011 was admitted to the Morningside Ministries Rehab and Nursing Home in Boerne, TX. On April 30, 2012, she was admitted to the Vitas Hospice. June was a fighter, strong willed and stubborn. On May 12, her fight was over and God took her to be with her Mum. She will be missed dearly, but never forgotten. Memorial Services will take place on Sunday May 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., located at the Sunset Funeral Chapel Northwest, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238. Minister Paul Worley will be officiating.
