San Diego
Gunther Schuh passed away on Saturday October 2,2021 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Germany on 9/27/1927 and as a teenager was drafted into the army where he later was captured as a POW.Several years later he came to the U.S. and in 1960 he became a U.S. Citizen. Soon after he joined SDGE as an electrician and retired 32 years later.Gunther enjoyed traveling and cruising and had been all over the world. He also enjoyed photography, operas, ballets and music. Twelve years after his first wife Dorothea passed, he married Paula Poor. They had been friends for 50 years and square danced together with their prior spouses.Gunther is survived by his wife, Paula Schuh and her family.Services are being held at Greenwood Mortuary in The Last Supper Chapel...4300 Imperial Ave., San Diego CAon Monday October 18th at 11:00 a.m.
