JAMES ALBERT SLAGLE

SLAGLE, JAMES ALBERT Jan. 31, 1942 to Nov. 24, 2012 James Albert Slagle was born January 31, 1942 in Norfolk, VA and died on November 24, 2012 at home in San Diego, CA at age 70 with his wife and daughters at his side. Raised in Norfolk, VA, Jim is the youngest of seven children; the surviving siblings are Margret Snell of Birmingham, AL, Hoarse Peter of Houston, TX and Gladys of Jacksonville, FL. At the age of 18 he joined the Army, where he served in the post Korean War. In 1964 He moved to San Diego, CA where he married Patricia Ann Picard in 1965. Together they raised two children, Wendy Lynn and Stacy Louise. He worked as a buyer most of his adult life for "Lucky Automotive". He also worked as a "handyman" for side jobs or in his spare time as that is what he loved to do. He and Pat were very active at Horizon Christian Fellowship, where he donated a lot of his time within the ministries they have there. He is survived by his wife, Pat, daughters Wendy and Stacy, grandchildren Shannon, Justin, Amanda, Brandon and Tyler and two great grandchildren, Conner and Stephen. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 28th, at 10:30 a.m. at Horizon Christian Fellowship located at 5331 Mount Alifan Drive, San Diego, CA 92111.
