Teresa E. Wright June 25, 1928 - December 29, 2018 SAN DIEGO Teresa E. Wright was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on June 25, 1928. She passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the age of 90.In 1950, she moved from Puerto Rico to Junction City, Kansas, and then on to Bremerton, Washington. Her final move came when she moved to San Diego with her family in 1956.For many years, Teresa worked at a downtown bank in the "International Department". Besides working full-time and raising two daughters, she also went to school at night studying for her bachelor's degree and teaching credential. In 1975, she graduated with her daughter Darlene from San Diego State University. She taught at Encanto Elementary School for 27 years.Teresa loved jewelry and clothing. She also loved good food, socializing, traveling, and watching TCM. She was especially proud of the fact that as a teenager she won the title of "Miss Pepsodent Smile" in Puerto Rico.She was predeceased by her daughter, Sandra in 2011. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene, her grandson, Kellan, and her sister, Elisa. She is also survived by three nephews in Puerto Rico, a nephew in North Carolina and a niece in Massachusetts.A rosary and viewing will be held at St. Didacus Church on Friday, January 11, 2019, from 5-8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at the church on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at El Camino Memorial Park at 12 p.m.
