Hugo George Trabano

1957 - 2023

Hugo was a loving son, a loyal husband, a caring sibling, a dedicated worker, a kind friend and neighbor and a steadfast believer in God, who left us too soon. Hugo leaves behind his wife Marguerite, mom, Maria, a brother Alfred (Freddie), sister Elizabeth (Lisa), brother-in-law, Chuck, nieces and nephews, Fianna, Tiffany, Corey, Anthony, Kole and Kenzie. He was preceded in death by his dad, Adriano. Hugo owned and managed Freedom Paint Center for over 30 years. Later he became a referee in Santa Cruz County. Hugo attended Palma High School and ran track and cross country. Hugo loved to travel. As a young man he spent a year studying at the University of Perugia in Italy. Hugo presently was working at the Chevy dealership with the hope of full retirement in a few weeks.Services will be on Saturday March 4, 2023 at Ave Maria Mortuary 609 Main Street, Watsonville from 11 am - 1 pm. A celebration of Hugo's life will be at the Elks' Lodge, 121 Martinelli Street, Watsonville from 1 pm to 5 pm.Family requests donations be made to Hospice of Santa Cruz County in lieu of flowers.
