Mary Peters Obituary
April 11, 1953 - August 5, 2021
San Francisco
Mary passed away peacefully after a short illness at Kaiser Hospital in South San Francisco. She was born in Santa Cruz to Frank (Pete) and Ellen Peters. She attended Bay View Elementary, Mission Hill Junior High and Santa Cruz High. Upon graduation from high school, she went to San Francisco State where she earned a Bachelor's degree. She remained a resident of San Francisco after graduation. She worked in the business office of the Mark Hopkins Hotel until her retirement.
Mary was a delightful conversationalist, both witty and intelligent. She was a voracious reader and music fan. She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her sisters, Sandra Cornell and Susan Peters de Rodriguez, her nephew, Mateo Rodriguez, her niece Abbey Cornell-Doyle and her long time roommate and dear friend, Robert Grey. She will be greatly missed. No service is planned for her and donations may be made in her name to a favorite charity.

I can't believe it has been three years since Mary left us. Rob and I still talk about her each week. I will be visiting San Francisco in October and will get to see the beautiful city Mary loved so much. Peace be with you now sweet girl.

I wish I had met Mary in person, but our phone conversations were delightful. Robert and I still talk about her in our Sunday calls, recalling many, happy, funny memories. RIP sweet Mary.

I had delightful phone conversations with Mary. On one particular call, she raised her bedroom window so that I could hear the streetcar stop at the corner. Each time I called my brother Robert, Mary and I would chat first. I miss those chats. Brenda Morrison
