Lola Smith Obituary

Lola P. SMITH Born on December 11, passed away December 11, 2006 after a prolonged illness. Beloved and beautiful wife of Bruce Smith for 64 years. Surviving daughters are Joy and Nicki Smith. She was very active in the Childrens Hospital Guild for years. She enjoyed the Womens University Club, becoming an officer. As a member of the Seattle Yacht Club, she was an active participant in the women's group, the drama group and writing for The Binnacle. Being very talented in playing the piano, she was often requested to give concerts, as well as playing informally both classical and popular music. Her warm personality and ability to speak Italian and French opened many doors. She received a medal in high school for her ability to speak French. Lola loved dogs, always having one or two. They enriched her life and lead to association with other people and their pets. She will be gravely missed by her many friends. The family requests that any expressions in her memory be contributed to The Childrens Hospital Foundation. Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. in the Seattle Yacht Club, Saturday, December 30th.
