Louise Fletcher Obituary

Louise "Ouidi" Fletcher

Louise "Ouidi" Fletcher passed away peacefully at Alpine Way in Shelton on June 8th, 2017 at the age of 93. Ouidi was born to Fritz and Doris Wilbur (Buren) in Tacoma on June 3rd, 1924. She graduated from Annie Wright Seminary School at age 16, and then attended the University of Washington.

Ouidi met the love of her life, Bob Fletcher, at a dance hall in Union, and in 1945 they married in La Jolla, CA. She and Bob raised four sons together and were married for 65 years until Bob's passing in 2010. They would move the family from Shelton to Dallas and then Vancouver until finally settling into the Magnolia area of Seattle where Ouidi owned and operated Magnolia Hardware for 10 years. After Bob's retirement, they moved to Hood Canal and later to Alderbrook Golf Course. She will always be remembered for her love and devotion to family. Her most memorable moments were with kids at play on Hood Canal.

Ouidi is predeceased by her husband Bob and sister Antonia "Tony". She is survived by her four sons Boe (Holle), John, Dave (Anne), Charlie (Cherie), five grandchildren (Briana, Nicole, Amanda, Tyler, Charlie), six great-grandchildren (EJ, Malaki, Isaiah, Oliver, Mia, and Micha), niece Antonia (Bambi), and nephew Bob.
