VIRDEN - Roger A. Magee, 49, of Virden passed away Sunday, June 28 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
Roger was born June 28, 1960, a son of Lyndal and Erna Ladage Magee. Roger graduated from Virden High School in 1978. He was member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Girard and served two years in the U.S. Army. He formerly farmed with a custom farming company in Kansas.
Roger is survived by his mother, Erna (Dean) Van Winkle of Virden; father, Lyndal (Brenda) Magee of Springfield; sister, Darla (Mike) Tolliver of New Berlin; brother, Richard Magee of Virden; 2 nephews; stepsister, Shirley (Bob) Gullo, and a stepbrother, Roy (Janet) Magee, both of Springfield. An infant brother, Robert, preceded in death.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Girard, with burial in Waverly East Cemetery, Waverly, IL. Memorials may be made to the church. Please sign the guest book at calvert-ferryfuneralhomes.com
