Anne Griffin Baker Obituary
After college, Anne moved to Manhattan and worked for the Marsh McLennan Agency. In 1982, she returned to the Bay Area where she started her career in mortgage lending with Country Wide and finished her 38-year career with Wells Fargo Bank.
In 1984, she married Alonzo D. Baker. The couple had two children, Robert and Megan, settling in the South Bay Area. After raising her family, she received her Master's from the New England College of Business (2005).
As a devout Christian she participated in church life her whole life, as Anne was caring, giving and loved helping others. Her associations include Leadership Sunnyvale, Toastmaster's, the Kiwanis and the House of Grace in San Jose. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, journaling and traveling.
Keeping Anne's infectious smile and warm personality alive in spirit, her husband, Alonzo (AD) and their children, Nigel, Robert and Megan, and her brothers, Robert (Joanne) and Otis (Monica) will always cherish her memory.
Funeral Arrangements
Memorial service to be held at 10 a.m. December 14, 2022 at Spark Church, 4161 Alma St., Palo Alto, CA.

I met Anne in 1972 when I was a sophomore and she was a freshman at Mills College. We lived in the same dorm. I´m an introvert. She was an exuberant extrovert and I was in awe of her - her beauty, her grand gestures and her wisdom. I often sought her out for advice and we called her "the philosopher ". I can still see Anne pulling up in front of the dorm in Adolph. (That´s the name she gave to her 1960 Mercedes). I remember riding around campus with her and once making a trip to Tahoe to see the Jackson 5 where we danced on stage with them for their final number "Dancing Machine"! She was wise, kind, generous and so much fun. And I feel blessed and grateful to have known her.

You are truly an original with a crisp wit and laugh that spread. Lord I miss you and the thoughtfulness sass and giggles that come from you Anne. Thanks for your sharing time me and with all of us on the crazy planet.
Family you are literally what she talked about nearly all the time. Keep her with you and our love and prayers are with you for your loss.
