Quincy Davis Obituary

DAVIS, Quincy Bernard "Q" (Age 43) Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint." Quincy "Q" Davis went home peacefully to his Maker on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at the family home in Spokane, WA with his wife by his side after a courageous fight against cancer. Quincy was born October 26th, 1966 in Augusta, Georgia to Ruby Davis (Sweat). Quincy spent his childhood in Beacon, New York and Statesboro, Georgia and graduated from Statesboro High School in 1984. Quincy was an active member of the United States Army and is a honored veteran. During his time in the Army, Quincy graduated from St. Martin's University in Lacey, WA with a Bachelors Degree in Business. After his service in the Army, Quincy went on to work for several companies before beginning his career in sales and marketing with Johnson & Johnson. Quincy was a devoted husband and father and loved time with his family. He enjoyed traveling, taking drives in his Corvette and spending long, lazy days on the boat. His passion for his work was evident in the strong relationships he built with his accounts, as well as his colleagues. The room always lit up when Quincy walked in with his warm laugh and genuine care and compassion for people. His girls were his world and he would do anything for them. He loved them deeply and they will miss him immensely. Quincy was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church and found great peace and solace in the parish. His faith in God helped him through some of the most challenging of times and provided him with great peace, as he left this life and entered the next. Quincy is survived by his loving wife Jane and three beautiful daughters, Jayna, Kiara and Constance; his mother Ruby Davis of Aiken, South Carolina; his brother Rickey Davis and wife Tina of Beech Island, South Carolina and brother John Sweat of Aiken, South Carolina; his mother and father-in-law Marie and Roland Tiedemann of Wenatchee, WA; his brother-in-law John Tiedemann and his partner Tracey Tashiro of San Diego, CA; three nieces, a nephew and many aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and many, many, many cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his father Nathaniel Davis. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 19th at St Augustine Parish in Spokane, WA. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 20th, at St. Augustine Parish with a reception to follow. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Spokane for their caring service and all the family and friends who have offered great love and support throughout Quincy's illness. Quincy will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace and find shelter with the angels until we meet again.
