Matilda Phillips Obituary

Matilda R. Age 92 passed away Thursday, May 17, 2001. She was a resident of St. Patrick's Apartments. Born in McAdoo, PA on February 24, 1909, Matilda was the youngest of 9 siblings. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Carl P. Phillips on May 29, 1988. Matilda is survived by her sons Carl (Marilyn) Phillips of Catlettsburg, KY, Richard (Rose Ann) Phillips of Wellsburg; 6 grandchildren Christopher (Teresa) Phillips of TX, Robin (Joe) Mata of OH, Tammy (Michael) Long of TX, Richard Phillips, Jr. of Elmira, Raymond Phillips of Wellsburg, Rebecca (Scott) Cole of Elmira; 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She retired from Hardinge, Inc., was a former communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church, a communicant of St. Patrick's Church for the past 10 years, a member of St. Charles Altar and Rosary Society and the Kingsbury Ave. Womens Club. Matilda loved to bake and crochet until her eyesight failed her. Family and friends are invited to call at the Barrett Funeral Home on Sunday, May 20th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Prayer Service will be held there on Monday, May 21st at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Patrick's Church. Rev. Walter Wainwright, Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. BARRETT
