My fondest memories of "Albert" Cary are the many rehearsals at his home before a concert. He was a gracious host and lots of fun. Which always made practice good. I will truly miss him. He was a very good teacher and organist.
My deepest condolences to the family. You'll be in my prayers

I am saddened at the news of the passing of Mr. "Albert" Cary. Along with the training from my mother, he taught me a great deal when it came to singing. He was a perfectionist for true sound and pitch, and could make any choir, group or soloist sound like angels as he accompanied them. He is the first person to bring, the late, Arturo Jones to sing with his beautiful baritone voice, to St. John's Baptist Church. I know music was his first love for he showed it whenever he played. A great musician and director. And you knew that he was enjoying it when he would throw his head back and close his eyes! Mr Cary will be sorely missed by all of us. It's not how long we stay on this earth, but what we do with our time here that counts. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, the church family and the many relatives and friends. We will miss him but never forget him.

The man,the myth, the legend. Albert Cary was considered the best organist in the area in his day. Not only did he play at St. John's Baptist Church in Scotch Plains,NJ, he also, at one time or another, played for every church in the Greater Plainfield area. He also played for Mt. Sinai in New York. He was a legend playing jazz at "Roccos." He was a great influence on many lives (especially the youth) and he will be sorely missed.
