LEE, Avis Rylene Avis Rylene Lee May 24, 1924-January 25, 2018 On the morning of January 25, 2018, Avis Rylene Lee succumbed peacefully to the last of the many serious medical conditions she endured. Such trials, however, did little to diminish the enthusiasm for life she displayed throughout her 93 years. Surviving are Milford, her husband of more than 75 years, her children Gregg, Connie, Bob, and Martha, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Avis was born in Garden City, Kansas on May 24, 1924, as the only child of Godfried and Mildred Samples. She married Milford on May 30, 1942, with the world at war. Her passions were her large family and her faith, and she worked very hard on both. She was a unique combination of softness and strength where it seemed like she honestly believed she was just here to help out. This gentle lady will be long remembered by those who were fortunate enough to experience her presence.
