Wilson Dickinson Obituary

Wilson Gordon Dickinson, Jr. Wilson Gordon Dickinson, Jr., passed away on Friday August 3rd. He was born in Roswell, NM, April 28, 1942, to Gordon and Ollibelle (Collins) Dickinson. Gordon graduated from Big Spring High School in 1960, earned a bachelors degree in 1963, and law degree in 1965 both from The University of Texas. He practiced law in Lubbock and Roswell and was a partner in his family's ranching business for more than 30 years. He is survived by his daughters Day Dickinson Fariss and Leslie Dickinson Cedar, their husbands and four loving grandchildren, all of Austin; his brother Dr. Walter Dickinson of Amarillo, brother-in-law WR Watson of Houston, and their families and grandchildren. He was an avid reader, sports fan and loyal servant of the Methodist Church. His truest delights were found in the pursuit of higher knowledge and all things Burnt Orange. He will be missed by his family and friends. Gordon requested that any gifts in his name be made to the First United Methodist Church in Roswell, NM or to the Dickinson Fund for the Center of Global Energy at the University of Texas School of Law.
