You are blessed my precious friend, Richard, and beautiful and sweet Wanda, Ruth Ann and Leah Anne. You were all angels in my life at a time of need, especially Mr. Richard Simpson, Senior. My family respected your family as you were truly an inspiration to us, as well as the model of wholesome family values. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Simpson for raising Richard, senior, to be a Christian, a boy scout, a patriot, an educator, and most fondly, a kind soul. May God bless your family always and surround you with angels of love in your time of need.

Sorry to hear of Richard's passing. I have many memories of him as the principal at Fox High School and as an active member of St. Mark Church. Our family much appreciated the kindness he showed our mother, especially in her later years when Richard and Wanda would go out of their way to pick her up so she could attend church. Sincerest condolences.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Richard Simpson. It was my privilege and honor to work with him as his Secretary in the Administration Office of the Fox C-6 School District. He was always appreciative and supportive of me. He will be missed very much both in the District and the Arnold community. My sincere sympathy to all of his family.

Mr. Simpson was a caring proud man. He didn't care if you were an A+ student he just cared that you were a student in his school and everything was alright with you. I have thought about him often since '75, he made an impact in my life.

We will miss Richard and the stories he told of his experiences. Most recently he commented that this frigid cold was nothing like Korea.

If ever there was an educator who left an everlasting impression behind, it was Richard Simpson. He never passed a student without an encouraging smile, greeting or handshake...no matter whether is was during his tenure at Fox or even afterwards as we all went well into adulthood. Thank you Sir for always having our backs and for your loving family, to lend you to us for generations to benefit from. Deepest sympathy for your great loss. Sincerely, Judy Zingsheim-Bellchamber 76 Fox grad

to the Simpson Family, I was privileged to know Rich, Sr. as my principle, a member of St. Mark UCC, and a member of the St. Mark Choir in which I direct. I have missed him the past few months. He had a wonderful Tenor voice with lots of range and had a great, but dry, sense of humor. Sometimes both were displayed at the same time. He once told my son, who sang Tenor in the church choir then, "I knew all the good students at Fox and all the bad students at Fox and I knew your dad real well." Rich, Thank you for all you did for your service to your country, the community, the Fox School District, and St. Mark UCC Church. I will miss a good friend and mentor.

Mr. Rich Simpson was my teacher & he taught the first graduation class at Fox in '59-'60. We all looked up to him & he became more than just a teacher to all of us. He is & always will be a legendary icon in so many hearts & minds that ever met him. A walking dictionary of Arnold & remembered every person he met. He will never be forgotten. He was a family man besides. I extend my deepest sympathy to his family.

Charles & I knew Rich because of our singing with the Metropolitan Singers years ago. He also took our wedding pictures at Senate Grove Methodist Church near New Haven, Missouri in September 1961. Very wonderful friend.

I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of such a wonderful man. I consider Richard Simpson to be a true icon in the Fox School District and the Arnold community. I am saddened by his loss, but it is nice to know we have an angel looking out for us. He is a true icon of what an educator should be and I am glad that I had the priviledge to have known him. Rich and I sang together in the "Met" singers from 1955 until 1971 (when I left town) and became great and close friends. My wife, Linda was also part of our wonderful group for many years. Although I have haven't seen him in many years.....I STILL miss him
What a wonderful person and dedicated educator. I recall well being a judge at some science fairs for him at Arnold.
Wanda....may God keep you and your family in his loving care.

I was in shock hearing the passing of Mr. Simpson. He was just a part of Arnold, always at all the performances at Rickman & just at all events. He was such a book of knowledge in all he did. It was so good to have him as a principal in my high school years. He will be greatly missed.
