Bobby Sullivan Obituary

SULLIVAN, Bobby Joe peacefully sailed into the sunset on Jan. 8, 2008. From 1956-1968, he served in the U.S. Air Force. He then served as an aerospace engineer, working on the Apollo VII Program from 1968-1970. He spent the next 37 years as a successful contractor, owning RJ Sullivan Construction for 18 years. Bob was a veteran, an adventurer, a world traveler, an avid reader, a friend to all and a free-spirited dreamer. His soul will forever be by the water, "Dancin' in the moonlight," with his feet in the sand and his eyes on the horizon, dreaming about and planning his next grand adventure. He will be cremated with his ashes being scattered across the world as any master wanderer and explorer would want. He is survived and loved dearly by his daughter, Sylvia; his furry son, Scraps; a brother, Rick; and his extended chosen family, Mary, Darlene, Jack, Carey, Jeff, Sonia, Jeremy, Sandra, Wayne, Angie, Tim, Tyler, Bella, Brian, Thorn, Larry, Jaclyn, Bobby, Jo Ann, Doug, Karen, Paul, Melissa, Zenneta, and so many others. You are invited to attend a "Celebration of Life" ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 9 am. The ceremony will be held at Dobies Funeral Home, 701 East Tarpon Ave., Tarpon Springs. Because this is a celebration, the family asks that all attending do not wear black or gray attire. The celebration of life will continue at Captain Jack's, 25 Oscar Road, Tarpon Landing Marina, Tarpon Springs. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that you make a donation to your local Hospice Care.
