James Page Obituary

Lifelong local resident James Richard Page, 81, passed away Oct. 18, 2009, at the Hospice Care Center.

He was born July 15, 1928, in Onalaska, Wash., to John and Nellie Irene (Moore) Page.

He served in the Army during the Korean War. James was a member of Association of Western Pulp and Paper Workers. He worked for Weyerhauser as a tugboat operator for 36 years before retiring in 1986. He was a motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed his grandchildren and his dachshund, Rocky. He also loved road trips with his children and their families.

He is survived by two sons, Jim Page and Bob Page (Chrissy); two daughters, Debbie Page and Dianne Mattison (Jim); a brother, Bob Page; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Longview Memorial Park with Mr. Don Sheldon officiating.

Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Dear Debbie, Jimmy, Dianne and Bobby~ I am so sorry to hear of your dads passing. He was a great man and I have many many wonderful memories that I will never ever forget! He was a good man, and a good friend to my dad. Just think, NOW they are talking hunting again! :-) Good friends reunited! Let me know if there is anything I can do.
