Tony,
I have many fond memories of our fishing trips to Lakewood camps. Your dad, my dad and all the rest of the many friends and family spent great times in that special place in northeastern Maine. I still use many of Jack's fireside jokes. Time passes but the memories are frozen in time as if they happened yesterday.
My condolences to the Chandler family during this difficult time.

John, Chris, Tony, Nini.;
Your dad was one of a kind, just a cool guy, our fly fishing trips were my favorite memories. He had a demeanor like no other. His playing of the sax. and the piano, memorable. As he takes his final journey and greets his friends and family I am sure the sounds of Dave Brubeck is playing in that back ground; "Together again for the first time" in heaven. If there is a peaceful trout pond in heaven that is where you will find him with his watercolors and fly rod, ready for the first dimple of the morning rise in heaven.
May you love each other deeply and may his memory be our blessings.

Dear Tony and the entire Chandler family: We send you our deepest sympathy on the loss of your father and grandfather. I had the privilege of reading for audio-journal with your dad for several years. His intelligence and wit kept me enthusiastically returning each week for our reading sessions. My wife Barbara and I enjoyed numerous dinners together with him and your mother. We have wonderful memories of both of them. May you all recall the happy memories shared. With our condolences ~ Paul & Barbara Davis

Dr. Chandler diagnosed my mother's breast cancer and was so kind and compassionate about it. He assured us he would take care of her as if she were his own mother. He was true to his word. His demeanor and skills as a surgeon were unforgettable. When I needed surgery myself, there was no question as to who my surgeon would be. In my eyes, Dr. Chandler was the obvious choice.
In later years, I would often run into Dr. Chandler and his dear wife. The love he had for her was remarkably apparent. He was such a gentleman, and so tender with her. It was sweet to witness such devotion.
He was a wonderful human being, and I am deeply saddened for the loss to his family. Rest in peace, Dr. Chandler.

Hi Chris, Nini, Johnny and Tony. How sorry I was to read of your dad's death. Our families were so intertwined and for so many years, it's hard to know that all of our parents have now died. Hope they're having a good time seeing each other again. The Smith family might never have known Chatham if your parents hadn't built on Wentworth Lane and got my parents to build across the street. What fun the Chandlers and Smiths had. I'll see you all on Saturday. Love, Nancy

Dear Tony, Karen, John and Chris,
All of the deMoors were so sad to hear the news about your Dad. He was such a wonderful spirit, full of grace, creativity, kindness and wisdom. I'm not sure if you knew this but your Dad let me observe his surgeries under his wing as a high school student because I was prepping for pre-Med. He was very encouraging and positive.
Together with your Mom, they were one of my favorite friends my parents had. As a kid, I always enjoyed their visits for dinner at our house and looked forward to hearing their stories. They were always a class act!
Having lost our Dad last year, I can imagine what you are all feeling and I'm sending you a warm hug. I'm sure Jack and Hendrik are sharing a good martini somewhere right now.
Much love, Karen
