Kenneth Wheeler Obituary
Ken is survived by his wife Edel Wheeler they were happily married for 43 years. They were blessed with 5 Children Daisy (Sam) Gonzales, Emily (Mike) Wygovsky, Jesse (Stephanie) Wheeler, Eric (Kelly) Wheeler, Kayla (Gramm) Kephart. He was also blessed with 8 granddaughters and 8 grandsons, 3 great granddaughters and 6 great grandsons. Ken is also survived by his sister Betty Schlingen, brother Don Wheeler and many nieces and nephews.
Ken was born April 23, 1931 to Jesse Wheeler and Ina (Kelch) Wheeler in Waterflow New Mexico.
Ken held many different job in his long 91 years ranging from cook, cowboy, baker to traveling book salesman. He had a passion for life that no one could dim. He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding his horse, working with leather and playing jokes on his family. He wore many hats Husband, Dad, Father in law, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, Friend. Ken loved his family and never went a day without letting them know. He will be greatly missed.
Services will be held April 7, 2023 at 10 am at Prairie Bible Church 16991 Co Rd 87 Trinidad Co, 81082. Lunch to follow at the Hoehne Community center County Rd 40.3 Trinidad, Co 81082 after services.

Our most heartfelt condolences to the Wheeler family. There are no words to express what a wonderful person and friend Kenneth was for us. He and Edel let us share their son Jesse with them and to have the pleasure of watching Eric and Kayla grow up. Daisy and Emily were wonderful students and became terrific women in their own right.
The saddle Kenneth rebuilt for Bo is still in the front room and always will be in a place of honor.
Friendship never dies. We know we will see our friend again. In the meantime I know he's back riding his horse in the sky just waiting for the rest of us. God bless him and May God bless his family
