I knew George and Doris from San Juan PR, as my father was also a USCG Officer. I spent a number of days with George when he was the weekend OOD. My fasanation with engineering was being nutrued by him. He would explain complex mechanical operating systems to me. These times in life are some my most cheerist ones. I owe my engineering career to him. I often reflect on these times and it brings a smile.
