Marvin Larson Obituary

Marvin A. Larson, 91, of Bermuda Dunes, Calif. passed away December 19, 2009 in Palm Desert, Calif. He was born December 8, 1918 to Albert and Pearl Larson in Davenport, Iowa. He married Betty Lee Murphy on February 17, 1973 in Corona, Calif. He served in the U.S. Army from 1941-1945. He was a general contractor and was a Rialto City Councilman from 1950-1954. For 25 years, he served as the Director of Building and Safety for Rialto, retiring January 1, 1979. He is survived by his wife, Betty Lee Larson; daughter, Marcia McRill; son, Wayne W. Larson; step-daughter, Louise Correnti; six grand- children and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Larson. Memorial Services will take place Saturday January 9, 2010 at 43120 Port Maria Rd, Bermuda Dunes Country Club. Forest Lawn Indio is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Order of The Elks U.S.A, P.O. Box 14849, Chicago, Ill 60614-0849.
