Mary Bess Obituary

Nov. 17, 1925 ~ June 4, 2012
Mary "Ida B" (Archibald) Bess, of Iola passed away Monday, June 4, 2012 at her home. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 9th at Iola Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Doug Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Friday June 8 from 5-7 p.m. at Day Funeral Home Chapel.
Ida B was born November 17, 1925 in Dallas, to John Bunyon and Ida (Hilmick) Archibald. She was married for nearly fifty years to her husband, John Cecil Bess. Ida B was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Survivors include her children, John Cecil Bess II, Jimmie Bess and Susie Jackson; grandchildren, Angie, Luck, Sarah, Rebecca, Tom, and Jen; and great grandchildren, Ty, Gaven, Maya, Sariah, Logan, Brayden, Alexys, Summer, Logen, and Zoe.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of your mother. I loved her very much. She was a wonderful person. I'm sure she is in a better place, but that still doesn't make it easier to give her up. Let me know if I can help.
