Janet Gress

Gress, Janet Age 57, born August 27, 1955 of New Lenox, IL transformed into an angel on August 12, 2013. After three and a half years boxing with breast cancer she was called to heaven. Janet was born in Evergreen Park, IL and grew up in Posen, IL she graduated from Bremen High School in 1973 and married Robert in 1974. They lived together in Midlothian before relocating to New Lenox in 1990. Janet was a rural letter carrier for the New Lenox Post Office for over fifteen years. Janet enjoyed spending time with her family, vacationing (especially cruising), going out to eat, and going out bumming. She also enjoyed arts & crafts, decorating, and games on her iPad and computer. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Robert; son's, Steven (Nicole) and Dennis; daughter Laura; grandchildren, Brandon, Dylan, Gavin, Zachary, and a little girl on the way; and sister, Donna. Preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Joan as well as her brother, Bobby. She was a wonderful, kind, loving person that will be missed by all. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451, on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 3-8 PM.
