Salvatore Treglia Obituary
Salvatore Treglia, age 92 of Norwalk, passed peacefully at home with family by his side on Thursday, November 9th. Born on February 5, 1931, in Minturno, Italy to the late Francesco and Maria (Fedele) Treglia. He was one of 7 children, Salvatore came to the United States 1963 where he worked as a Master Mason. He was a perfectionist and never had to go back and redo any job.
He loved his garden, making homemade wine, hunting and his animals. He loved his family, wife, children and grandchildren.
Salvatore was predeceased by his daughter Alexia, grandson Joseph Ouellette, III, brothers Giuseppe, Antonio, sisters Civita, and Lucia.
Salvatore is survived by his loving and beautiful wife of 60 years, Victoria; daughter Deborah Lyons (Kevin), son Frank Treglia (Sarah), daughter Daniela J. Ouellette (Joe), daughter Annamaria Mershon (Tom), and 7 grandchildren, Jennifer, Victoria, Salvatore, Daniel, David, Edward, Francesco; one brother David Treglia, and sister Antoinetta Treglia of Minturno, Italy; and many nieces and nephews of the United States and Italy.
His family will receive friends on Monday, November 13, from 4-7 at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
