James Whitney, age 94, died Monday, May 10, 2021 in Rockledge, FL. James was born in Scottsville, KY to Virgil and Lou Ella Whitney (Witt).
He is survived by his wife Billie Jean Whitney Wheat, daughter Donna Reekie (Rick) of Highland Village, TX, daughter Danna Tahmassebi (Robert) of Melbourne, FL, son Mark Whitney (Jenna) of Arnold, MD, 6 grandchildren - Jenna Rowley (Drew), Michael Reekie (Rachael), Robin Perez (Kevin), Emily Tahmassebi, Sophia Whitney, and Nolan Whitney, and 2 great-grandchildren - Rhett Rowley and Alice Reekie.
A memorial for friends and family with military honors will be held at Cape Canaveral Military Cemetery on June 14, 2021.
