George, As I got to know you, I could tell how you had a loving impact on my dear friend and co-worker, Rozie. When she would speak of you and refer to you as her "monkey", it was obvious you were the man of her dreams, her smile and the glow on her face would tell it all. Your absence will be difficult for many of those that knew you, but especially to Rozie, although you left priceless memories, your loving touch will no longer be there, but you are now Rozie's Angel, may you rest in peace George and always be there for the love of your life, your friend, Rozie. May you provide her with peace, love and comfort during this most difficult time, may she be able to sense your presence with signs that only you would place in her path. Blessings and our deepest condolences to the entire family of George Cardenas, Marie and Joe Salazar

To my monkey, the greatest love and best friend of my life. For thirteen years, you gave me so much happiness, love and laughter. You had a presence that just melted my heart, and because of our family history, from day one when we met, I knew we would forever be bonded. I thank you for showing me what it is to have faith, to believe that not all things are bad, and - for your infinite wisdom. You were so intelligent in your profession, but your greatest intelligence was in life and what mattered. You had a heart of gold and you loved your family and friends and gave of yourself freely to all who knew you. Everyone loved you because they felt your love towards them, with your big heart and infectious smile and laugh you had, and it just made all who knew you want to be around you. You never met a stranger and all who were fortunate to know you, could feel your warmth and genuine heart. You were also such a faithful man in God's word, and not a moment went by that you didn't thank God in Jesus' name for all you did in each day. You always thanked God for blessing you with what you had, and that is why you were so generous and paid it forward to others - one of the things I most admired about you. You always remained humble and did selfless acts for everyone around you. I have never known anyone like you and know I never will because I had the best --- the love and best friend anyone could have ever hoped to have. You shined light in darkness and turned clouds to rainbows because of your faith and words you lived by. You were everything to me monkey, but God needed a beautiful angel and called you home. My world has forever been changed, but I want to continue your legacy in the beliefs you had and apply all you taught me. I will always love and carry you in my heart, and my dream is to continue where you left off in the faith you had and deliver acts of kindness you lived by, and complete your dream of delivering meals for those in need. My hope is to do this in your name and make it a tradition. Thank you monkey. Thank you for you - the most beautiful man that God placed in my life before making you one of his angels.
"Did you ever know that you're my hero, And everything I would like to be? ..... I can fly higher than an eagle, For you are the wind beneath my wings"..... "It might have appeared to go unnoticed, But I've got it all here in my heart. I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it. I would be nothing without you," for you were "The Wind Beneath My Wings" - Bette Miidler.
Love always, Rosie.

I was George's second grade teacher years ago. I have enjoyed his posted scriptures on Facebook in recent years. I am so sorry that he has passed on, but know God had a need to take George home.
