Joel Aguilar Obituary
Visitations will begin today, Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Ceballos Funeral Home of McAllen. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church of McAllen. Burial will follow at Lord & I Cemetery located at 1203 E. Goodwin Road in Palmview, Texas.
The Aguilar family entrusted their services to the care of Ceballos Funeral Home of McAllen.

Just heard of Joel's passing. My sincere condolences to all his family. He was a great person, full of life, empathy, and plain street smarts which made him a very good officer! I worked with him in Mission and learned a lot from him that I continually relied on during my career. I am sure he will be missed. GOD speed my friend!

During the time that I served in public office, i had the pleasure of working with Joel. I found him to be very respectful and never did i have a complaint from him nor of him.
In todays' world, we find very few officers who handle their profession with integrity and -most importantly- empathy. I can testify to the fact that Joel was one that always handled his situations with EMPATHY.
TO THE FAMILY OF JOEL: It would be sad if we did not have the hope of one day be reunited with him. But, be assured that one day, you will see him.

My condolences to The Aguilar Family. My Family and I will always remember when Joel and Rolando would play baseball with us in the middle of the street. Joel was an AWESOME down to earth sweet person. May you RIP!!!

Joel. You were a good and caring friend since we were in Jr. High and McAllen High School together. I'm sure you were a great loving dad and great loving grandpa and a great brother and son.
